ABOUT ME
Empowering Homeschool Students to Achieve Success
I look forward to meeting you! I am passionate about helping homeschool students and parents with life skills that will help students reach their potential.
My homeschooling journey began many years ago, when I was a homeschool student. My parents helped me develop life skills and guided me in selecting a career that fit my interests and strengths. I went to college, got married, and have spent 30 years as an occupational therapist. With the help of my husband and parents, I have been able to work part-time for the last 16 years while homeschooling our two children. One is a senior in high school and the other is a senior in college.

My goal is to provide comprehensive life skills and career guidance for homeschool students: offering resources, assistance with educational goals and transcripts, encouragement to develop work skills through paid and volunteer opportunities. I will provide individualized recommendations to help you meet your goals for the future, whether that be through on-the-job training, technical training, or college preparation. As an occupational therapist, I am trained to help people develop executive functioning skills. Executive functioning is a set of cognitive skills that help us plan, organize, prioritize, and execute tasks. It is also responsible for our ability to regulate our emotions, control our impulses, and make decisions. Executive functioning skills are essential for success in school, work, and personal life.
So you can see that my counseling services are based on my experience as a homeschool student, homeschool parent, and occupational therapist. I look forward to helping you and your student to achieve your goals!
